What started it all....

I want to be a writer. I read almost everything and then enjoy writing about what I have read. Sometimes I write about family events, thoughts that I think, or book ideas that I would like to finish. My Mom and Pop told me when I get older, I can try an internship to learn more about writing. One day, maybe I will even make my own book.

My Pop was so excited when I told him I wanted to write, that he suggested I start a blog. Here I can write about anything and other people can see my thoughts. Maybe this will help me become a better writer.

The Best Christmas Ever!!!

The best Christmas gift I have ever got in my life has just come into town! We got a puppy!!! I can't believe it! His name is Dutch, and we got him last week on Wednesday. We're going to keep him! That means that he will be here for Christmas. I am so happy, because I have always wanted a dog. I don't care if I don't get anything in my stocking on Christmas Day. I just can't believe it! Dutch is the cutest thing. This is the BEST Christmas ever!!!

One Week Away!!!

The time has come when Christmas lights will twinkle and Christmas trees will be picked. And the best part? We only have one week of school work until we're free from school! Sometimes we don't know what to do without school, but during our Christmas break we have more than enough things to do. And all my worries about getting reports done and things will be over! I can't wait for Christmas break. It's one week away!!!

Christmas Time

Oh, how I picture days when my hair was as straight as a stick, and my skin as soft as a flower petal. In my younger days Christmas was a surprise to us. Mom and Pop put the tree, and all the other decorations, up early on Thanksgiving morning. We would rush out of our bedroom, full of surprise, laughter, and merriment. Today, each of us, even me, are surprised thanks to Mom and Pop. When Noel was still a toddler, we would join hands and dance around, sip cocoa, and totally enjoy ourselves. I look back on those times and wish that I could go back to when my baby brother was just born, my youngest sister barely walking, Noel just barely in Pre-K, and me in first grade. Each of us would sit by the fire and pull wonderful items out of our stockings. I treasure pictures of our wonderful Christmases and the memories that go along with them, and I can't wait for this next one...
